Golf in Spain One of the biggest tourist attractions to Spain is its large variety of golf courses. Spain is special as the weather there is suitable for golf play nearly all the time whereas in Ireland we get awful weather regularly throughout the year meaning that days out playing golf here are often ruined by wind and rain. Spain has many resorts in which the main attraction is a golf course on the grounds. Most of the golf courses in Spain are located in the South as this is where there is the best weather. There is also a lot less wind in Spain then there is in Ireland as they are not on the front of the Atlantic as we are. Some of the top courses in Spain include Sotogrande, Valderamma, Real Sevilla, San Gual and Santander. In Spain, 13% of the population are members of golf clubs which makes golf a very popular sport in Spain. Spain also boasts some of the worlds best golfers in the world.
